After living in Park Slope for 6 years, I was never brave enough to join the coop.
It’s really not my kind of thing but this article pretty much mirrors my thoughts on it.
When I first moved to (close by) the Slope I found out it was cooler to have been kicked out of the Coop than to be a member.
That information has served me well ever since.
