Lady Gag’s video is set to premiere. I hope she revitalizes the medium.
I hardly think music videos have ever or will ever hit a stride much the way features and serialized television shows have. Reason being the format is totally driven by artistic direction and there’s no ready market to sell any product. Therefore, music videos are only produced in support of promoting another product: the music. The video will always be supplementary.
